Slöjd - Innovation sprints

Slöjd translates to 'craft' in Swedish. A homage to early prototyping methods, resourcefulness, and crafting by hand.
Partnering with GOOD Magazine, we brought together 8 designers from organizations like NASA JPL, Disney Imagineering, and Two Bit Circus to build new solutions that could enhance creativity in youth and adults.

The designers spent 5 days developing two concepts. The final concepts were presented to a panel of judges from organizations like Art Center College of Design, Belkin, Adobe, UCLA, USC, and NASA JPL.

The winning concept was funded with a $50,000 seed investment.

A stellar judging panel included interdisciplinary luminaries from the fields of design, engineering, architecture, media, and education.
